Purple Haven Independent Living Program

By applying to or participating in the Purple Haven Independent Living Program, applicants and residents acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

Program Purpose

• Purple Haven is an Independent Living Program designed to provide safe, structured, temporary housing and supportive services for individuals transitioning back into the community and working toward long-term stability and independence.

• Participation in the Program is voluntary and does not establish a landlord-tenant relationship.

 

Eligibility & Acceptance

• Submission of an application or placement on the waitlist does not guarantee acceptance.

• Acceptance is based on eligibility criteria, availability, and alignment with program goals.

• Purple Haven reserves the right to deny or discontinue participation at its discretion to maintain safety and program integrity.

Housing Status

• Housing provided is temporary and program-based, not permanent.

• Residents are granted a license to occupy, not a lease.

• Length of stay varies based on program guidelines, individual progress, and availability.

House Rules & Community Standards

Participants agree to:

• Maintain a drug- and alcohol-free living environment

• Treat all residents, staff, and property with respect and dignity

• Comply with all house rules, curfews, visitation policies, and community standards

• Maintain cleanliness of personal and shared spaces

• Failure to comply may result in corrective action, including possible removal from the Program.

Program Participation

Residents are expected to:

• Actively participate in required program activities, check-ins, and services

• Engage in job readiness, life skills, financial literacy, health & wellness, and Second Chance programming

• Demonstrate commitment to personal growth, accountability, and independence

Legal Compliance

• Residents must comply with all local, state, and federal laws.

• Individuals on probation, parole, or supervision must adhere to all court-ordered conditions.

• Purple Haven is not responsible for legal representation or legal outcomes.

Fees & Financial Responsibility

• Program costs, will be disclosed during intake.

• Failure to meet financial obligations without approved arrangements WILL impact continued participation.

• Purple Haven reserves the right to adjust program fees with notice.

Safety & Conduct

• Violence, threats, harassment, possession of weapons, or illegal activity are strictly prohibited.

• Purple Haven may conduct wellness checks or safety reviews as needed.

• Immediate removal may occur if a participant poses a safety risk to themselves or others.

Confidentiality

• Purple Haven respects participant confidentiality and privacy.

• Information may be shared only as required by law, safety concerns, or with authorized consent.

• Participants agree to respect the privacy of other residents.

Personal Property

• Residents are responsible for their personal belongings.

• Purple Haven is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

Termination of Participation

Purple Haven reserves the right to terminate participation for:

• Repeated or serious rule violations

• Safety concerns

• Failure to engage in required programming

• Misrepresentation of information during intake

Program Changes

Purple Haven may update policies, rules, or program requirements as needed. Participants will be notified of significant changes.

By applying to or participating in the Purple Haven Independent Living Program, participants acknowledge that they:

• Agree to comply with all program policies and expectations

• Understand that participation is a privilege, not a right
